Ingredients
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
½ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup packed dark brown sugar
1 large egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 ½ teaspoons red gel food coloring
1 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour
5 teaspoons cocoa powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup white chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease two baking sheets or line with parchment.
In a large bowl, use an electric mixer on medium speed to cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Add egg, vanilla, and food coloring until well combined.
In a separate large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt.
Slowly add flour mixture to butter mixture. Fold in white chocolate chips.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoons about 2″ apart onto prepared sheets. Bake 8–10 minutes until edges are crispy.
Cool on sheets 10 minutes before removing.
