Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped dried cherries
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Stir in the almond extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the creamed mixture and mix well.
